According to Bethesda’s Pete Hines “there are a number of reasons” why Fallout 76 isn’t getting crossplay.
Fallout 76 is certainly at the top of a lot of people’s lists for the upcoming game releases, but according to Bethesda’s Todd Howard blames Sony for holding Bethesda back from its dreams of crossplay.
While Pete Hines didn’t exactly point to Sony for Fallout 76’s lack of crossplay, it does seem likely that Sony is large fault here.
Sony claims that solutions are coming to its crossplay policies are coming that by “understood and accepted” by the community, but these words sound just as hollow as Sony’s statements on crossplay have since the beginning.
As Microsoft and Nintendo continue to push forward with more and more crossplay support Sony will continue to hold on to its old ways.
