During the recent Sega Nama, Chief Creative Officer, Toshihiro Nagoshi, discussed upcoming plans for something new to be revealed before the next Sega Nama, which takes place at the end of September. According to Nagoshi the title has been in development for 3 years now, and if it is new IP from the Yakuza team then it will be the first new IP since Binary Domain in 2012.

After the success of Yakuza 0 western Yakuza fans have certainly been getting more content from the Yakuza team, and with Yakuza Kiwami 2 being the first in the series to use the Ryu Ga Gotoku branding in the west, things are continuing to look bright for fans of the Yakuza team.
