In a tweet from the Battlefield official Twitter account, it was confirmed that Battlefield will be dropping on November 20 rather than it’s original October 19 release date.
Dice General Manager Oskar Gabrielson also released a tweet discussing the new release date. He states that the reason for the delay is to make “meaningful improvements”, but these “meaningful improvements” may be a saving grace for Battlefield V’s sales numbers as the game now release in a much better time.
The new release date puts Battlefield V closer to Fallout 76 and Hitman 2 rather than Black Ops 4 and Red Dead Redemption 2. It will be interesting to see if this new release window will be enough to improve on the extremely underwhelming pre-order sales Battlefield V has already seen.
