We finally have an official player count for the new Blackout battle royale mode.. for the beta at least.

In the newest issue of Game Informer magazine, Treyarch revealed that the Blackout beta will have a player count of 80. On the subject, Co-studio head Dan Bunting said, “What’s really more important to us than a number is that the gameplay experience is as refined as it can be, that’s it the ideal perfect format for what players are going to play.”
Treyarch says that it the 80 person player cap is just a starting number, and that while they have gone to higher numbers in closed testing, they want to evolve the game based on player feedback.
Game Informer also let it be known that zombies WILL be in the new Blackout mode. Zombies will spawn in randomly determined locations around the map, and its up to the player if engaging is worth it or not. Areas infected by the zombie horde will contain bonus loot as well, so they may become hot spots for more than just the undead.

The Black Ops 4 Blackout beta hits PS4 on September 10, Xbox One and PC on September 14, and the Open PC beta drops on September 15.
