Remember when Gta V came out on the last generation of consoles? Remember installing the game from one disc and playing from the other? That’s going to happen again with Red Dead Redemption 2.
According to Rockstar’s Support website, Red Dead Redemption 2 will require a good amount of space:
Physical copies:
PS4 – 99 GB install space
Xbox One – 107 GB install spaceDigital copies:
PS4 – 99GB install space + 50GB for the install process
Xbox One – 107 GB install space
The extra 50GB of space required for PS4’s installation process will be freed once the game has finished downloading.
Youtuber, Kofi, has also tweeted out a picture of the two discs within Red Dead Redemption 2’s box, confirming the multi-disc process.
Last thing I’m going to speak on since people are just dying to know. Red Dead Redemption 2 does have a double disc. The first disc is a “Data Disc” and the second is a “Play Disc”. Probably have to just install first disc. Game does come with a map which I will not share. pic.twitter.com/VnIq2HF8zf

With players excited to get into Rockstar’s newest open world, it definitely won’t be fun waiting on a 100GB game to install…
