Blizzard is working on more mobile games based off several of their IPs

Blizzard executive producer, Allan Adham, confirmed that Diablo Immortal isn’t the only mobile game coming from the studio.

Adham states that many of Blizzards best developers have shifted from working on PC and Console centric titles to work on mobile games.

“In terms of Blizzard’s approach to mobile gaming, many of us over the last few years have shifted from playing primarily desktop to playing many hours on mobile, and we have many of our best developers now working on new mobile titles across all of our IPs. Some of them are with external partners, like Diablo: Immortal; many of them are being developed internally only, and we’ll have information to share on those in the future. I will say also that we have more new products in development today at Blizzard than we’ve ever had in our history and our future is very bright.”

It looks like the future isn’t bright for fans of Blizzard’s earlier work, and it also seems that the fire of Diablo Immortal is only growing stronger.

On a Reddit post containing Adham’s statement, users are criticizing Blizzard for possibly pulling talented PC and Console developers to work on mobile games. Users make mention of Nintendo’s ability to consistently push out amazing titles while still making mobile games simultaneously. Their greatest mind are still working on the main system their fans play their games, the Nintendo Switch, and they are still able to put out mobile games.

Adham does re-iterate that they have not forgotten about PC players during the interview, but his other statements clearly contradict this claim.
