China is approving new video games again after a months-long freeze

After a months-long freeze on the approval of new video games, China approved the release of 80 online video games on Saturday.

Although China is the world’s largest gaming market, the country’s government has been increasingly critical of video games. Concerns over the violence in video games and addiction have been a large amount of the fuel behind the approval freeze.

But amongst the number of approved games, the huge Chinese company, Tencent, saw no games approved during the recent approval wave.
