Little is still known about Hideo Kojima’s latest project, Death Stranding, but it seems that we might be on the verge of knowing more about the game.

On his Twitter, Kojima put out a tweet heavily hinting at a 2019 release date for Death Stranding.

In his tweet he said, “Is 2019 the year of the whale? Please look forward to Death Stranding!” While it may not seem like a lot to go off of and its ties to Death Stranding aren’t extremely clear, many may remember that the very first Death Stranding trailer featured beached whales towards the end of the trailer.

For reference, 2019 is the year of the pig in the Chinese calendar. Even if it’s not Death Stranding related, Kojima is definitely having some fun being cryptic.
