Activision Blizzard are down another CFO

Activision Blizzard’s 2019 isn’t off to a healthy start.

Just after posting a terrible fall in their stocks, CFO Spencer Neuman was set to be let go. According to Activision Blizzard, Neuman’s termination was unrelated to the company’s finances. One source claimed Neuman had been poached to become CFO at Netflix, which lines up since he is now been names Netflix’s CFO.

Only a few short days after this news, CFO Amrita Ahuja has left Activision Blizzard to become the CFO at mobile payment company, Square.

This all comes right on the tail of a controversial end of 2018 for Activision Blizzard. Many may remember the announcement of mobile game, Diablo Immortal, as well as reports that the company was paying some its employees in their Ireland office to quit their jobs.

According to Kotaku, there has been an increase in friction between management at the Activision Blizzard due to the company’s attempts to cut costs.
