After the announcement of their new mobile game, Alien: Blackout, fans were extremely disappointed with another wrong turn in the Alien franchise.

Today though, Fox has announced a new MMO FPS coming to console and PC.

“FoxNext Games’ studio, Cold Iron Studios, is also currently at work on a massively multiplayer online shooter set in the Alien cinematic universe for consoles and PC.”

There’s no news on what the game could be as of yet though. We could end up seeing a game similar to PlanetSide 2, but players would get the opportunity to fight off hordes of aliens together.

We’ll just have to wait for further news on this and any sort of Alien: Isolation sequel.
