It seems that Sony is taking a page from Nintendo’s book with the announcement of a live stream that will be held to make a number of announcements.
The PlayStation State of Play will be held on March 25 at 2 PM PST / 5 PM EST, and will “showcase upcoming PS4 and PS VR software.” You’ll be able to watch the show live via Twitch, YouTube, Twitter, or Facebook.
Sony says that more State of Play streams will be broadcast throughout the rest of 2019. It’s interesting that PlayStation has decided to mimic Nintendo’s Direct livestreams, and it will be interesting to see if the hold a large Direct/State of Play even close to E3 season similar to Nintendo’s pre-recorded E3 showcases.
Due to Sony’s decision to foregore E3 this year, it looks like this new method of delivering PlayStation news to fans for the foreseeable future.
