Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order confirmed to have no micro-transaction, DLC, or multiplayer – Official reveal trailer

One of EA’s most anticipated upcoming titles has been confirmed to be releasing without multiplayer, DLC, or micro-transactions.

Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order was announced at E3 2018 as an upcoming single player Star Wars game in development by the team behind the Titanfall series and Apex Legends, Respawn Entertainment.

The lack of the normal features forced into games by EA was confirmed by Respawn Producer Blair Brown.

While many are excited at the fact that the upcoming Star Wars game is a purely single player experience, some are more skeptical about the hype behind the game.

Popular Video Game Journalist Jim Sterling criticized EA for solving a problem the created in the first place – in reference to their games being filled to the brim with micro-transactions, DLC, and multiplayer only content.

It will be interesting to see just how EA handles the upcoming Star Wars game. After the abomonations that were Star Wars Battlefront 1 and 2, it may be hard for many consumers to buy in to a game that seems a little too good to be true coming from EA.
