In a Tweet last week, 343 Industries Community Director, Brian Jarrard, revealed that the upcoming release of Halo: The Master Chief Collection for PC will have cross-progression with the Xbox One version.
This is great news for players who have bend spending countless hours in the already released Xbox One version of the game. Progress will carry over from all time previously played, and will be synced via Xbox Live account on PC so players can continue hopping back and forth between both versions of the game as much as they’d like.
Progression, unlocks, stats, etc.. will carry over between PC/console. In terms of playing together crossplatform, currently not planned for launch but it's something the team is accounting for and will evaluate over time.

While the tweet also confirms that we won’t be getting any sort of cross-platform play at launch, it definitely doesn’t rule out the possibility of the feature in the future.
For now though, we’ll have to keep waiting for the release of The Master Chief Collection on PC as the initial release window of April has been pushed back.
