In a recent Xbox Wire post, the pricing scheme for Halo: The Master Chief Collection on PC was confirmed, and it’s surprisingly fair.
To begin, Microsoft re-confirmed that Halo: The Master Chief Collection will be a fully supported Xbox Game Pass for PC title, meaning that if you subscribe to the $5/month subscription service you’ll get every single Halo: The Master Chief Collection game on PC.
If you decide to purchase the collection on Steam or the Windows Store instead you’ll have to buy each game individually. Every game, excluding Halo 3: ODST, will be priced at $9.99. Halo 3: ODST will be sold at the lower price of $4.99 due to the fact that it will be a campaign-only title.
This will bring the total collection to a $55 price tag, which for 6 games is a pretty great deal. Halo fans are sure to be happy at this price tag as certain other companies (Nintendo) tend to raise their classic games’ prices sky high when bringing them to newer consoles.
