Remember PlanetSide and PlanetSide 2? Well, the famous MMO FPS is making a comeback, but as a Battle Royale instead.

The new game will contain the typical 100-man Battle Royale experience we all know, but it will also introduce a new 250 v 250 mode.

Luckily for those who aren’t into the whole Battle Royale mode, Planetside Arena will feature more typical FPS modes such as Capture the Flag, Team Deathmatch, and Search and Destroy.

PlanetSide Arena’s big pitch is that it will be an ever-evolving game with new modes added each season aka “games as a service” model.

PlanetSide Arena launches on Steam on January 29, 2019 for the price of $19.99 for the standard edition. The pricier “Legendary Edition” goes for $39.99, and contains the base game along with the “Season 1 Battle Pass”. three sets of armor,  and the “M-20 Tempest” pack.

Those who pre-order the game will have access to a beta, and currently active PlanetSide 2 players will have access to their own beta.
